10 Wonderful years!!!!

I am happy to anounce that Chris and I are celabrating 10 wonderful years of wedded bliss this September. We have discussed how we would spend it but are arguing NOT with each other but with OURSELVES as to how we celebrate.

Of course our romantic sides say go to Hawaii or Mexico and enjoy each other have a “romantic” vacation………

then the fact that chris is gone so much and he misses the kids…..

then the mommy factor…..i cant leave my kids for any period of time without missing the holy &*^% out of them…

what do we do???

does anyone have a sugestion for us?????

10 years in my mind is BIG!!! needs to be celebrated….especially after ALL that he and I have been thru…..

but somehow….KIDS…seem to wiggle their way into your hearts and lives…..and we have to consider them in your time…..

We have a almost 7 year old (when the time is here) and 18 month old…..

what is a good vacation for us with two kids or do we leave them….

HELP!!!!!!

what would you do in your lives on a BIG anniversary?

let us know…we are totally struggling with this.
neither one of us really want to leave the kids….but we understand the need for our marriage as well……

    hmmmm - well, when we had been married almost 10 years we moved to Alaska - then we celebrated our anniversary with 5 other couples from church who were married in the same month as we.

    but that was then ;-)
    we’ve not done any big vacations with kiddles - Your boy would enjoy something like Disney, but the Diva is too young.

    What about a train ride to Denali? Spend the weekend in the park?

    I really honestly am at a loss. Chris is gone so much. I want to create something for him. and kids seem to become a factor when your talking about a “slope worker” he misses them when hes gone so how can I expect him to skip a hitch and go 5 weeks without seeing his babies??? PLEEZE HELP!!! your allways such a good ear….

    I have an idea. I think that you could go the the Lodge… one on the way to anchorage. go there for 2-3 days. nothing but ROMANCE> leave the kids with me. you know that they enjoy it. either before or after he will be with the kids. That will satisfy both. Than you wont be gone too long. you get away from everyone. you know the kids are fine and safe and you get to be close enough if they need you… ect.
